The Australian Pharmacy Council is the independent accreditation body for pharmacy. Their work protects public health by setting and maintaining high standards of pharmacy education.

Their Colloquium is a health education event that emphasises collaboration and communication between health professions. Each year they discuss innovations in education and assessment and how that impacts health profession practice, students and ultimately the consumer. The IPE Colloquium is a safe space for discussion on leadership, curriculum, and interprofessional collaboration, and provides a platform to yarn and share evidence-based methods from across the health professions. It will be an opportunity to engage in an exploration into storytelling, and how Indigenous leadership and knowledges can enhance the current narrative of health profession education and practice.

The theme for 2024 is Winhangarra - Listen, Hear, Think. The Australian Pharmacy Council is committed to amplifying Indigenous voices so that they are leading and guiding our work to contribute to a culturally safe pharmacy workforce.

Drawn from Wiradjuri language, Winhangarra means to listen, hear, and think. By honouring Winhangarra, we can collectively aim for transformational change in health profession education. This means to disrupt it in such a way that broadens thinking beyond the accepted systems.

This interactive, engaging, and entertaining event highlights latest research in health profession education and contemporary practice.
